Almost everyone uses a smartphone these days. Our smartphones have become our go to for literally everything. With millions of apps on the app store, it is difficult choosing which to install. Other than the common apps like social media, news apps, and entertainment apps, here are some which I use that have been beneficial to me;
Of course, the Bible App had to be my number one! If you aren’t already familiar with this Bible App, please do look for it on your app store now. This app has blessed millions of lives, including mine. My favourite features of the app are the Bible plans, the audio option, the streaks, variety of languages, targeted Bible scriptures for your mood, and so many more! It is a one-stop app for all your digital Bible needs.
I am sure a lot of people know about Audible. However, for the person who doesn’t know, Audible is the worlds most extensive selection of audiobooks. I know I am not the only one who sets reading targets for each month; This app helps me accomplish such goals. I can achieve my goals quickly because it is an app that can be used on the go. You just need a subscription, headphones, a device with access to the internet and you are good to go!
This app is so underrated! I came across it when I was looking for a solution to my insomnia. The app is full of Bible stories, sounds for relaxing and sleeping, prayers, testimonies, exhortations, etc. It has also helped me calm anxiety on several occasions. Are you looking for another effective way to meditate on the Word of God? Check this app out. Oh yeah, before I forget, you can also access several Abide Meditations material on YouTube.
8fit is a fitness app that promotes wellness. There are tons of workouts and healthy recipes on this app. My favourite feature of this app is the flexibility. Unlike other apps, you can customise your required service to your current needs. For example, you can choose the type of ingredients and food used for the meal plan that the app automatically curates for you. You can also choose the type of workouts you prefer. The best part of this app is that you don’t need any equipment.
Do you always have questions like I do? Then Quora is the app for you. I spend some of my spare time understanding how others think by using this app. There are thousands of questions and answers which are very helpful. I must state, however, some opinions are not necessarily beneficial. Just learn to sift out the bad from the good.
I love to use the elevate app because it keeps my mind engaged with helpful games. These games sharpen your analytical, writing, speaking, reading, and mathematical skills. Download this app, and your IQ would thank you. This app was named amongst the best IOS apps for 2019. This app is a game-changer!
I like to call myself a polyglot. I love languages and enjoy learning them. Busuu has been one of the reasons for this. Having the ability to speak more than one language is so important. It sets you apart in your career and broadens your knowledge generally. Consider learning one this year; and when you do, check Busuu out. You would love it! I have made friends in the community section who have helped me tremendously. Busuu is a McGraw-Hill Education certificate provider, and they offer adaptive Vocabulary Training. Busuu has been named Google’s Editors’ choice , Apple’s App of the year, and BBC referred to the app as quicker, better & smarter.
If you are a lady and you don’t have Flo on your phone, I wonder where you have been all this while. Flo is a one-stop app for tracking your menstrual cycle, PMS symptoms, ovulation and fertility calculation. This app also has a community which is my favourite feature. You are likely to find all the answers that you are too shy to ask others from the community section. The predictions from this app are very accurate, that’s why I love it!
This brings me to the end of this post.
You may have noticed that most of these apps are subscription-based, and I hope that doesn’t put you off. We must learn to make the necessary investments in ourselves. It is so important! It is a form of self care in my opinion.
Nevertheless, if you download any of these apps, please let me know how you find them.
Also leave in the comments your favourite smartphone apps so I can check them out.
I’d love to hear from you.
